Dondo moves over to KUNR

Posted in Uncategorized by Extradition Music on May 11, 2010

This is kind of a big deal for the roots rock community in Reno.

Dondo has been bringing it with the Hayseed Hoot for years now, and I just read yesterday that he has finally started the show up again.  Congrats to the folks at KUNR who saw this gem and brought it on board.  Tune into 88.7 this Saturday at 11:00AM this Saturday for the first show.  From the KUNR press release:

Don Darue and the local favorite The Risky Biscuit Hayseed Hoot is coming to KUNR beginning Saturday, May 15. The show will air from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by two hours of Jimbo’s Juke Joint from 1-3 p.m. and also-expanded Take Names Later Blues from 3 to 5 p.m.

For 19 years, Don Darue has put together a truly unique musical mix of Americana, folk, bluegrass, singer-songwriters and more, blended with his down-home wit and local flavor. It’s a local treasure and KUNR is excited to have Dondo and the Hoot joining our lineup.

American Routes will air in a one-hour format at 8 pm Saturday nights. This American Life moves to Sundays at 2 pm. The Thistle & Shamrock and From the Top will move off the broadcast schedule and will be available online-only with links on KUNR.org.
